There is now a legal requirement for all buildings, both commercial and residential*, to have an energy performance certificate (EPC) on construction, sale or rental. There are financial penalties for failure to comply with the regulations, and your solicitor will not be able to complete a contract unless an EPC is in place.
At Timberwise we can provide our clients with the services they need to ensure they are compliant with the latest legal requirements, as well as giving practical advice on how the energy performance of properties can be improved leading to an enhancement of the value of the property.
Timberwise are experienced business professionals, and our Energy Performance surveyors are trained and regulated by the RICS and Elmhurst Energy, who have been working on the energy performance of buildings since 2006. Our Energy Performance surveyors have completed over 700 Energy Performance Certificates in the domestic and commercial sectors.
As part of our Energy surveying we can offer a range of energy assessments and follow-up covering:
NB: *Parts of buildings sold or let separately may also require an EPC. There are a small number of types of property which are excluded from the requirement e.g. places of worship.
Care has been taken in the compilation of our Energy Performance Certifcate web pages. The statements contained on the Energy Performance Certificate pages are believed to be correct. However, the Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience arising from inaccuracies.
