The Problem

Three ‘flying’ barrel vaults situated directly underneath the rear courtyard were leaking badly. The problem was encountered after the ‘strip out’ phase, part way in to the shop refitting contract. The client and the principal contractor required a fast-track effective solution to water ingress.

The Solution

A full overhead and wall surface damp/water management system was installed. The system included a full 6mm cavity drain membrane application. The cavity drain membrane terminated into a ‘WaterGuard’ channel system; the infiltrating top-water was collected and directed to a drain-off point. The installation was completed within 8 working days allowing the overall project to proceed without delay.
