Advice on dealing with tanking or waterproofing system failures in commercial basements

There are many reasons why basements can flood, such as blocked drainage or a high (or perched) water table,  but many of the waterproofing systems installed by Timberwise are designed to combat previous attempts at waterproofing that have failed. These systems range from waterproofing systems fitted to new properties that have failed as well as to retrofitted systems in properties.

An example of failed basement waterproofing

It is vital that the waterproofing system used within the basement is choosen based on its technical merits and its performance criteria. It may well be better to do nothing or to do part of the right system that can be added to later rather than choosing a lesser system just because it is cheaper – it will almost certainly end up costing more!

By choosing Timberwise to design your waterproofing solution you can be sure that your basement waterproofing system is designed by experts to meet the current Bristish Standard – BS8102. With a range of waterproofing solutions at our disposal we are sure to have a system to suit any waterproofing requirements you may have.

Just think, do you really want the hassle of the financial implications (damage to stock for example if used as a store area) or do you want to get it right first time?
