The CINTEC designed structural anchor system is a versatile system of structural reinforcement that can be tailored to meet the specific strengthening and repair requirements of individual projects. The uses of CINTEC anchors are wide and varied – from historical buildings and monuments through to bridges, blocks of flats and even harbour walls! CINTEC have a reputation that has spread globally for providing solutions for the most challenging of structural repairs, whilst remaining sensitive to the original architecture of the structure.
How does the CINTEC anchor system work? The CINTEC reinforcement anchor system comprises of a stainless steel bar that is enclosed within a woven fabric mesh sleeve. A specially formulated grout is then injected under low pressure. The anchors are installed via precisely drilled holes.
The flexible sleeve expands with the cementitious grout and moulds itself into the shapes and spaces within the wall. This then provides a strong mechanical and chemical bond.
The diagram to the right explains the various parts of the process.
- The system is custom designed for each application
- The system is cemtitious based and sympathetic to the original structure
- Approved by heritage authorities
- Highly durable and heat resistant
- Very effective in poor quality materials
- Ideal for bridging cavities
- Stabilising masonry – e.g. Rubble filled cavity walls
- Cavity wall tie anchors
- Stitching anchors
- Lateral restraints
- Retaining wall anchoring
Below is a short video showing how the system can be used in even the most extreme of locations!
