Our privacy policy is changing

16 May 2018

As you may be aware, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), one of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law comes into effect on Friday 25th May 2018.

This will change how we at Timberwise collect, record and use your data – whether on paper, digitally, or recorded on other material. This means you can have greater confidence that the information Timberwise hold about you is accurate, up-to-date and properly managed.

  1. You choose how we contact you and how

Your consent must be freely given to Timberwise before we reach out and contact you, effectively you must “opt-in” to receive communications from us.

  1. Your data can be removed at anytime

If you have given Timberwise permission to contact you, it doesn’t matter if you change your mind you can withdraw your consent at any time and your personal data can be erased. Also, any data that is considered to be inaccurate or likely to be inaccurate must be removed.

  1. Your data is better protected

GDPR also aims to make sure that we have the right processes in place to securely maintain all personal data we may hold.

Our Next Steps…

To comply with GDPR regulations we’ll soon be asking our valued customers to choose how they would like to receive updates from us. You can find more details about the GDPR legislation here.
