Timberwise introduce the Dustblocker 500 onsite
6 November 2018
Here at Timberwise, we know health and safety regulations are paramount to the well-being of our team. So much so, that we have now introduced Air Scrubbers, in particular, the MAXVAC Dustblocker 500, as a vital piece of equipment we use on site to help improve the surrounding air quality.
Designed to be able to operate 24 hours a day, it can continually work to clean the air you breathe. The powerful fan pulls in the airborne particles and traps them in a three-stage filter before the dust has a chance to drift and settle on surfaces.
Why do we have an Air Scrubber onsite?
No matter the environment dust is everywhere and is created through work carried out. Loose dust can be moved by little air turbulence, causing this dust to settle on the goods that are stored or displayed in that respective space. We are specialised to develop devices to improve indoor air quality, with low space and energy requirements, as well as for variable locations.
What are the benefits for the Timberwise team?
The risk of lung diseases caused by fine dust is around 40% in case of exposure over a period of more than 20 years. Lung damage caused by exposure to particulate matter is usually not curable. By working carefully with the Dustblocker 500 our technicians breathe in fewer particulates, meaning their chances of developing black lung are reduced.
What are the benefits for our customers?
Thanks to the HEPA 14 filter, one of the highest standards of filtration available, the Dustblocker 500 minimises the clean-up required after the works are complete.
A quiet machine, like the Dustblocker 500 can be used in occupied buildings when renovations or refits are being carried out without major noise pollution or distributions. Designed to be able to operate 24 hours a day, this also means a lower power consumption of 180W is required.
