Timberwise opens new branch in Brighton

10 January 2019

As a national property care company with a network of locations across England and Wales already in place, Timberwise are pleased to announce the opening of our latest branch in Brighton.

From traditional Victorian buildings with classical styled mouldings and bay windows, post-war brutalist commercial structures to the decorative brickwork and gables of the residential boom of the late 19th century. Brighton’s large and diverse array of buildings are “unrivalled architecturally” among the United Kingdom’s seaside resorts, creating more than 1,200 grade listed buildings including The Royal Pavilion, Old Ship Assembly Rooms, All Saints Church and Regency Square.

Why have we opened a branch in Brighton?

With local residents aware that general maintenance on their seaside homes is essential, as properties on the coast tend to be more affected by the elements, and Brighton and Hove City council delivering a number of major regeneration projects in the city such as improving the seafront, developing a new university library and creating new homes for local working households, the opportunity to open a further branch in Brighton was too good to miss.

A “connected city”, thanks to its excellent road links and public transport links to London, this new location strengthens our already extensive South East presence further. Situated in the bustling city centre, on Western Road, the new branch will support customers in the surrounding Hove, Peacehaven, Portslade, Worthing, Eastbourne, Newhaven, Kemptown, Goring-by-Sea and other surrounding charming villages in need of property preservation and waterproofing expertise.

This then ensures Timberwise are even more responsive to our customers in the area and attentive to their property needs. Customers are safe in the knowledge that they are never far from the skills and specialist knowledge of one of our Surveyors.

With over 50 years’ experience, our local team are specialists in providing treatment for rising damp, penetrating damp, dry rot, wet rot, woodworm, radon gas and condensation. Here at Timberwise, we have been working hard to expand our headcount and bolster capacity to meet the expanding expectations of our clients, both commercial and domestic.

The expansion comes on the back of rapid growth after 13 appointments across the business in the last 6 months and a further office opened in Lincoln back in 2018, so opening our premises in Brighton is a logical step forward for the business.

Alongside its coastal climate and cool sea breezes, Brighton is a city that encourages individuality and we value individuality in our Timberwise workforce. We encourage creative thinking and want to create a unique work environment and business of which our people can all be truly proud of.

We’re excited about the further development of our presence in Brighton. Our Brighton branch, like our other branches across England and Wales, will offer a range of property preservation and waterproofing services with excellent local customer care, securing our position as market leader.

Last year we celebrated over 50 years of property preservation, overall 2018 was a monumental year for Timberwise. We anticipate that 2019 will be no different; as we intend to continue to grow with confidence. This move further down south was a natural progression for us and we’re proud to say Timberwise is going from strength to strength.
