Timberwise, a Cheshire-based property preservation company, swept the boards at an awards event organised by national trade body The Property Care Association (PCA).
Timberwise, which has its headquarters in Northwich and offices nationwide, came away with four accolades at the event, held at The Slate, University of Warwick.
Simon Lockyer won the first award presented on the night, The Graham Coleman Award for Timber and Damp, sponsored by Triton Systems, for his success in the PCA’s Certificated Surveyor In Remedial Treatments (CSRT).
The winning run continued with Daniel Roderick named the Elta Fan’s sponsored Apprentice of the Year – the second year running a Timberwise trainee has taken this title.
The company then took the category of Website of the Year, (larger company), before the evening concluded with a special presentation to a key member of the Timberwise team, Neil Hartley.
As the ceremony drew to a close, Steve Hodgson, The PCA chief executive presented a special award to Timberwise training director, Neil Hartley, who was granted honorary membership of the association for his long-standing contribution to the industry over the last 40 years – an incredible achievement.
Mark Edwards, managing director of Timberwise, said: “It was a great night for the team.
“We were thrilled to see Simon pick up the CSRT Student of the Year. He is a willing student and we are impressed with his dedication and hard work. This award is thoroughly deserved and we are very proud of Simon’s achievement.
“It was great to see the work of our apprentice, Daniel, recognised too. He has exceeded all expectations with his technical knowledge and attitude and we are really proud of him too.
“The website award was great recognition for the hard work of a marketing department who pull out the stops to ensure we have a first-class online presence, while the recognition by the industry of Neil’s input and contribution over the years was a great moment.
“It really was a special evening that recognised the importance of our people.”
Stephen Hodgson, chief executive of the PCA, added: “This was a great achievement for Timberwise, with people across the business rewarded for their enthusiasm and commitment to the industry.”
