What is the PCA?

The Property Care Association (PCA) is the trade association representing timber and damp specialists within England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. What is CSTDB?

The Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) qualification, which is held by Timberwise Surveyors and delivered by the Property Care Association, has now been re-named Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB).

How does a Surveyor achieve CSTDB?

To attain CSTDB status candidates are required to pass ALL THREE modules:

  • Damp

  • Legal/Health & Safety

All Timberwise Surveyors who successfully pass the CSTDB examinations from 2018 onwards will be awarded the level 3 ‘Certificated Surveyor of Timber and Dampness in Buildings – CSTDB’.
