Why Should You Insulate Your Interior Walls with ThermalTek
When it comes to property care the benefits of insulation are numerous.
First off, there is the matter of condensation. Condensation occurs when moisture rich warm air comes into contact with a cool surface, which is normally an exterior facing window or wall. Keeping your walls thermally insulated means that the same warm air isn’t going to be as easily drawn outside as your walls will retain a higher ambient temperature.

How Is ThermalTek Applied?
What makes ThermalTek so easy to use is that its applied to your walls in exactly the same way you would paint it.
Simply rub down and clean your walls as you would before you might repaint it, apply any painters tape you might need, and then roll on the ThermalTek exactly as you would paint. It’s recommended that at least two layers of Thermal Tek are applied to your walls for it to be at it’s most effective.
Once applied, leave to dry, and you will notice the effect of the paint almost immediately, as the ThermalTek works to reflect heat, and inhibit mould growth.
When dry, you are free to paint or paper over the ThermalTek, and it will not reduce the ThermalTek’s effectiveness when it comes to acting as an anti-condensation measure.

How Does ThermalTek Work?
ThermalTek makes use of microsphere technology. This is the use of small, engineered glass bubbles to create small, stable voids within the paint, which means the paint has lower thermal conductivity and higher infra-red reflectivity.
All of this means that once its coating all of the walls, the ThermalTek paint will act like a flask, reflecting the thermal energy created in the ThermalTek coated rooms away from the walls, preventing moisture in the air from condensing on them.
This also means that mould growth on the walls as a result of condensation is greatly inhibited, as the mould spores will not be able to find a moist, condensation rich area on which to germinate and spread.
